Built in 1926 as a residence hotel, the original Surrey was home to many of New York’s most eccentric celebrities. JFK, Bette Davis and Claudette Colbert are just a few famous faces that recognised the allure of exceptional and discreet service here. Now, building on storied past, the mission is to restore the hotel's glamour and sophistication, making it an icon of the future. 
The 16-story building will boast 70 guest rooms, 30 suites and 14 residences, which draw inspiration from the hotel's illustrious history and surroundings. Four Signature suites will be inspired by the bridges of Central Park, with sublime comfort and spectacular elegance at its core.
